The total number of lockdown areas in Davao City has now reached 22 since the coronavirus disease outbreak.
These areas are either street, households, compound – a lockdown of a household and its surroundings. These areas were locked down after positive cases of the coronavirus have been found during random testing.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte would not disclose the specific areas where the city government implemented a lockdown after these were recommended by City Health Office to the Task Force.
“There is no need to give to the public the specific area sa atoang mga lockdown (of our lockdown),” she said. Mayor Sara, however, said these lockdown areas are in Barangays Sto. Niño, Tacunan, Daliao, Ilang, Barangay 21, Barangay 23, Leon Garcia, Bago Gallera, Catalunan Grande, Baliok, Talomo, Angliongto, Buhangin Proper, and Cabantian. In these 14 total barangays, 17 were households, four (4) compounds, and one (1) street.
