President Rodrigo Duterte led the graduation ceremonies of the Philippine Military Academy and the Philippine National Police Academy via teleconferencing. A first in the history of both institutions, done as adjustments to the new normal in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The president used the videoconferencing application Zoom in leading the ceremonies, Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said.

“For now, ito ‘yung pinakauna-unahang pagkakataon na naka-Zoom o teleconferencing ang Presidente na mag-attend ng graduation,” Roque said.
