Government workers who will resume reporting for work in general community quarantine areas or GCQ are will no longer receive hazard pay, the Civil Service Commission confirmed.
According to the commission, the P500 daily hazard pay only covered government personnel who continued to physically report for work during the enhanced community quarantine period or ECQ.
“Pag nag-GCQ na po tayo wala na pong hazard pay,” she said in a virtual press briefing,” CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada said.
[There will be no more hazard pay once we shift to GCQ.]
“Hazard pay is only given during ECQ outside of those who are entitled to hazard pay,” she added, noting that law enforcers, and health workers are exempted and would still receive hazard pay.
President Rodrigo Duterte in March approved the grant of a hazard pay to government personnel who continue to physically report for work during the ECQ.
