Registration for the May 2022 national and local polls remains suspended despite easing of quarantine protocols, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) said.
However, Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez announced that registration activities will immediately resume next month.
“Mag-resume ang #VoterReg2020 sa (Voter registration will resume) July 1. #MagparehistroKa (Go register),” he said in his Twitter account.
To recall, the COMELEC extended the suspension of voter registration and
all voter registration activities in the country up to June 30, 2020 due to the extension of the enhanced community quarantine last April 25.
