At least 14 local government units (LGUs) in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) have expressed willingness to accept domestic flights from other GCQ zones.
Department of Transportation Assistant Secretary Giovanni Lopez announced that some LGUs are ready to accept domestic flights as long as it is coming from another GCQ zone.
“Mayroon na tayong 14 na lokal na pamahalaan na handa na rin sila na tanggapin ang mga domestic flights galing ho sa iba’t ibang lugar, GCQ to GCQ,” he said in an interview on Friday.

There was no mention of specific LGUs which expressed this intention.
Commercial domestic flights from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) resumed last June 5.
Lopez acknowledged that many Filipinos are still with doubts over traveling due to the threat of Covid-19. Despite this, he hopes that the transport sector would gradually recover by the fourth quarter of the year.
