COVID-19 positive cases in the country has reached over 25,000 after the Department of Health posted 607 new confirmed infections on Saturday.
The DOH said the total is now at 25,392. 504 of these cases were fresh or reported to the patient within the last three days, making it the highest number of fresh cases listed in a day.
To recall, since May 29, the DOH has been separating the total count into fresh and late cases.
From the fresh cases, there were 246 from Metro Manila and 85 from Central Visayas, while the rest of the 173 were found in different regions.
252 more people recovered, bringing total survivors to 5,706, while the death toll rose to 1,074 with 22 additional fatalities.
