“Hi Mama! Nakilala ko na ang paborito mo! (I finally met your true favorite!)” Bea Alonzo wrote in her Instagram on Saturday, posing side by side with Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto. Her remark was a witty reference to veteran actress Coney Reyes, mother of Vico, who played her mother in the movie “Four Sisters and a Wedding.”
The actress met the young mayor when she turned over relief and medical supplies in the city as part of her organization’s campaign for Father’s Day.
“In line with Father’s Day, we intend to celebrate the fathers who choose to serve the community by cleaning the streets and picking up our garbage,” she said.
100 relief bags and disinfectants for the city’s frontliners under the “I Am Hope” foundation were given to the city’s leaders for distribution.
