IATF may allow entry of foreign workers despite COVID-19 threat

Foreign nationals looking to return to the Philippines for work or as permanent residents may be permitted to enter the country, if Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases allows it.

Roque said a number of foreign embassies have requested to allow more international flights to Manila despite travel restrictions.

Holders of work visas are also being considered as well as those declared as permanent residents of the country such as retirees and special investors.

The Cabinet official did not name the embassies that made the requests.
