
Congress awaits President Rodrigo Duterte’s 14th report on his administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic which is scheduled every Monday of the week.
This is the first report after the expiration of the Bayanihan Heal As One Act, which ended on June 25. This law gave the president additional powers to immediately take action amid the crisis.
His previous report last June 22, touched on issues concerning transportation problems and delayed aid distribution.
Apart from distribution of he social amelioration program, Duterte is also expected to make an announcement on his decision regarding quarantine restrictions, among them, whether Metro Manila stays under general community quarantine or shifts into another mode of restriction.
