The lawyer who filed a petition in the Supreme Court compelling President Rodrigo Duterte to disclose his health records has now dared Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque to prove his claim that the chief executive is 88-percent healthy.
Atty. Dino de Leon challenged Roque through a letter on Wednesday after the spokesman told a radio station that the President, “like any other 75-year-old, para naman pong nasa 88 po ang physical health ng ating Presidente.”

De Leon said he made his request on the presumption that Roque, as the presidential spokesperson, makes declarations that “have both factual and legal basis.”
“In light of the importance of the President’s health to the public, as well as the People’s right to be assured that the statements of the Presidential Person are accurate, I respectfully request that you provide the public with that basis of your conclusion that the President is 88 percent healthy,” De Leon wrote.
Roque dismissed De Leon’s challenge when asked for a comment.
“He’s had his day in court when the SC (Supreme Court) dismissed his petition. He should accept his defeat graciously,” Roque said in a text message.
The Supreme Court earlier dismissed De Leon’s petition for the tribunal to compel Duterte to disclose his health records.
