The Philippine government has enough funds to mitigate and address impact of future natural calamities that will hit the nation, Malacañang assured on Thursday, ahead of a new storm brewing in the horizon.
“We do have enough funds. We have about P800 million worth of standby funds and family packs ready for deployment kapag nagkaroon na naman ng aberya kagaya ng bagyo,” Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said in a Palace press briefing.
From food packs to evacuation centers, the government is ready once calamity strikes again.
“Ang kailangan ng mga mag-e-evacuate ay naka preposition po, hindi lang pagkain pati evacuation centers have been identified,” Roque said.
