
Major transportation services were temporarily suspended due, the government announced on Sunday.
The Department of Transportation said operations of major train lines Light Rail Transit (Lines 1 and 2) and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 were suspended after Metro Manila was placed under Signal No. 4. The Philippine National Railways also halted their operations due to the weather condition.
EDSA busway operations also halted operations at 1 p.m. on Sunday in preparation for the onslaught of the typhoon.
Aside from land transportation services, flights on Ninoy Aquino International Airport was also closed for 24 hours starting 10 a.m. of Sunday, according to airport officials. Passengers were advised coordinate on new flight schedules.
