PhilHealth CEO and President Dante Gierran will reportedly seek the approval of the state insurer’s board to increase its dialysis coverage to 133 sessions per year, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press briefing on Tuesday.
The state insurer’s policy currently covers up to 90 sessions of dialysis for patients.
“Unang-una, kukuha po siya ng board approval para maparami pa ang dialysis more than 90. Ang suggestion niya po ay 3 times a week, times 4 weeks a month, times 12. So more or less, ang maibibigay ay libreng dialysis kung aaprubahan ng board ay 133 per year,” the spokesman said.
