Christmas will come early for government workers as they are set to start receiving the much-anticipated bonuses on November 15, a Civil Service Commission official confirmed.
Budget Circular No. 2016-4 of the Department of Budget and Management mandates government agencies to give the cash benefits during the said period.
“The release is not earlier than November 15,” CSC Commissioner Atty. Aileen Lizada said.
Changes in government employees’ work arrangement were also released through a memorandum by the commission, Lizada added.
“We modified the staggered working hours, which is now work shifting or flexible working hours,” Lizada said.
She added that workers who are 60-years-old and above, or who have co-morbidities may also be required to work onsite.
“If your services are indispensable or office work is permitted, your head of agency may require you to report for work,” she added.
