More quick response funds promised to DSWD for typhoon victims

Supplemental emergency funds will be give to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as it strives to assist victims of Super Typhoon Rolly.

DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista said the Budget Department assured them that quick response funds will be replenished for the purpose of aiding Filipinos who suffered damage from the typhoon.

“Nag-usap na po kami ni Secretary Avisado at nagpapasalamat po ako sa kanya dahil sinabi po niya na ire-replenish po niya ang Quick Reaction Funds ng DSWD,” he said in his report to President Rodrigo Duterte.

The DSWD has already provided assistance equivalent to P52.4 million to regions affected by Super Typhoon Rolly.
