Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced that his city government has allotted P300 million for COVID-19 vaccine procurement, explaining further that they are currently in talks with different pharmaceutical firms.

The higher the efficacy mas gusto natin ‘yun, kahit sino naman po siguro.”

As for prioritization, health workers and senior citizens will be the first to receive the procured vaccine at the earliest possible time.

I assure everyone that we will be very transparent with our procurement process once may presyo na, kung ilan, anong brand,” he said.

Aside from Pasig, cities of Manila and Makati had also allocated funds to buy vaccines for their constituent.
