DOH still awaiting PSG’s response to questions over illegal vaccination

Up until now, the Presidential Security Group has not issued a response to health authorities on the inquiry about the illegal vaccination of its personnel.

In an interview, Food and Drug Administration Director General Eric Domingo revealed that the Department of Health has yet to receive a reply from the PSG.

“The Secretary of Health sent a letter to the PSG asking for the list of whoever was vaccinated, if they were vaccinated, and what the vaccine was, so that they can be monitored and checked for adverse events.”

“But I don’t think there’s been any reply,” Domingo said.

After the vaccination of the president’s security detail with unregistered drugs, the FDA launched a probe on the entry of the “smuggled” coronavirus vaccines in the country.

Despite public backlash, Malacañang has maintained its support to this move, saying the security personnel only wanted to ensure President Rodrigo Duterte’s protection from the virus.
