The Department of Health clarified guidelines and health protocols to be followed once cinemas in the country reopen in March.
Dr. Eric Tayag, director of DOH’s Knowledge Management and Information Technology Service, reminded moviegoers of what to do and not to do when going to cinemas. To ensure safety of everyone, there will be no eating, no taking of calls, no bathroom use, among other rules.
“Hindi pupunuin ang sinehan. Bawal kumain. Bawal tumanggap ng tawag, naka-off ang telepono… ‘Wag kayong gagamit ng CR sa sinehan hangga’t maaari, at malamang sa hindi ay mababawasan natin yung risk,” said Dr. Tayag.
All moviegoers should wear masks as well, he added.
Authorities earlier announced that the re-opening of cinemas beginning March 1 was approved, amid concerns raised by mayors and experts.
