Rep. Mike Defensor of the Anakalusugan Party-list lost his post as vice-chairperson of the Committee on Legislative Franchises at the House of Representatives.
He lost the post to Zamboanga Sibugay 1st District Rep. Wilter Palma II.
A well-known ally of former House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, Defensor was also replaced last December as chairperson of the Committee on Public Accounts.
The Committee on Legislative Franchises is in-charge of matters relating to the grant, amendment, extension, or revocation of franchises.
Meanwhile, Palma was replaced by Iloilo 3rd District Rep. Lorenz Defensor as Deputy Majority Leader.
Rep. Anthony Peter Crisologo of the 1st district of Quezon City was also elected as vice-chairperson of the Committee on Games and Amusement.
