The Philippine government targets the completion of vaccination of all medical frontliners by mid-April, according to a top official of the national task force.
Vaccine Czar and National Task Force against COVID-19 (NTF) Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. reported that around 1.7 million medical frontliners have been vaccinated with the anti-coronavirus drug.
After the inoculation of frontliners, Galvez said that the senior citizens, indigent population, and the vulnerable sector are next in line to receive the vaccine. Moreover, mass vaccination may push through in May and June once supply is available.
Based on the data presented during the briefing, around 1.2 million initial vaccine supply against the virus has been distributed to various vaccine sites in the country.
