
MANILA – Due to ash emissions caused by the Fukutoku-Okanoba submarine volcanic eruption, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has canceled flights to Japan scheduled on Monday.
PAL stated in an advisory that the cancellation was due to ash emissions from the Fukutoku-Okanoba volcano.
The canceled flights were:
PR 428 / 427 Manila – Tokyo (Narita) – Manila
PR 422 / 421 Manila – Tokyo (Haneda) – Manila
PR 412 / 411 Manila – Osaka (Kansai) – Manila
PR 438 / 437 Manila – Nagoya – Manila
Passengers who have been affected may rebook or receive a refund for their tickets. They can also convert the cost of the ticket into a travel voucher.
As of 9 a.m. Monday, the Manila International Airport Authority stated no other airline with canceled Japan flights was on its list.
