Japan opens 2022 Young Leaders’ Program application

MANILA – The Japanese Embassy in Manila declared on Thursday that application for the 2022 Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) is now open.

The Japanese government has developed a one-year academic program to assist young leaders from many nations, including the Philippines, in their professional growth and development.

“The idea is for these participants to become future leaders and work together in contributing significantly to the economic, social, and political development of their home countries,” the Embassy said in a statement.

Successful Filipino applicants can enroll in any of the courses available, including business administration, law, public administration, and local governance.

Participants will get a master’s degree upon successful completion of the program, which will begin in September or October 2022. English is the mode of instruction.

To qualify for the program, interested applicants must be:

· A Filipino citizen;
· A Bachelor’s degree holder with excellent academic records;
· Highly proficient in English;
· Under 40 years old;
· Employed with at least 3-5 years of work experience;

The Embassy stated that the application deadline will be determined by each recommending authority.
