Minors aged 12-17 included as Manila starts inoculation Wednesday

MANILA – The Manila City Government will join the initiation of general vaccination for minors aged 12 to 17 on Wednesday.

From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the pediatric vaccination will be held at Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo, Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Ospital ng Maynila, and Sta. Ana Hospital.

A total of 3,474 minors with comorbidities have already received their first dose of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines as of 6 p.m. on October 29.

From Saturday until Tuesday (Oct. 30 to Nov. 2), the city government postponed its mass vaccination program.

According to data from the Manila Public Information Office, 51,551 people aged 12 to 17 have already registered for vaccination as of Sunday.

As for the adult population, 1,291,919 or 95.59 percent of the city’s target population are already fully vaccinated as of October 29.

On Tuesday, Manila recorded 42 new infections, bringing the total number of active Covid-19 cases to 430.

House committees to hold hearings during break
