MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) said on Thursday that fully vaccinated adults may acquire their Covid-19 booster shots starting December 3.
The DOH stated in a public statement that anyone who have completed their primary series of Covid-19 shots can be vaccinated with the following brands, regardless of the vaccines they received in the first two doses.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said booster shots may be administered six months after the second dose for all vaccines.
“Except for Janssen, 3 months after second dose,” she said.
The DOH noted that the National Vaccination Operations Center would release the operational guidelines on its implementation.
The administration of booster shots began last month, starting with the healthcare workers and persons with comorbidities.
The current step comes in the midst of the threat posed by the recently found Omicron variant of the coronavirus, which has spread across Europe.
As more vaccines arrive, either donated or procured, the government further pushes the vaccination numbers with the aim to fully protect at least 54 million individuals before yearend.
