MANILA — The Supreme Court has extended the application deadline for those who intend to take the 2022 bar examinations scheduled in November.
According to Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa, who is also the 2022 Bar Examinations chair, the submission deadline has been moved from July 15 to August 15.
Caguioa stated that the Court has been told that some law schools will conclude their academic year later than others and later than the end of the original application period due to the variance in the academic calendars of the various law schools in the country.
They chose to extend the application period to provide law graduates more time to prepare and submit the required documents, while assuring that the Court will have the time to “process and verify the adequacy of the applications to be received”.
In an earlier Bulletin, Caguioa said the 2022 Bar examinations will be conducted in four non-consecutive days in two weeks in November, “barring unforeseen circumstances and contingencies which may necessitate a rescheduling of the same”.
“Further details with respect to the exact dates of the Bar examinations, as well as those pertaining to the Bar PLUS platform and the exam venue selections will be announced in a later bulletin,” Caguioa continued.
Earlier, Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo noted that the SC will continue the digitalized format in future Bar exams to “sustain the momentum of this digital shift.”
