MANILA – A Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster on Monday reported that two weather disturbances could possibly affect the country this week.
“The tropical cyclone with international name ‘Hinnamnor’ outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is currently too far. However, it could enter PAR by Wednesday or Thursday,” Aldczar Aurelio of PAGASA said.
PAGASA is also monitoring cloud clusters that may develop into a low pressure area (LPA) this week, he added. It is forecast to affect the country once it develops into LPA, specifically the Northern Luzon area.
Aurelio, meanwhile, said the ridge of high pressure area currently affecting the country will cause fair weather.
The weather throughout the archipelago will be fair and warm.
Aurelio stated that isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms may still be experienced, especially in the afternoon or evening.
Over the entire country, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail.
