DOH logs 1,774 new cases of Covid-19

MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday recorded 1,774 more Covid-19 cases.

Based on the most recent data from the DOH, active cases across the country were at 19,267.

In the past 14 days, Metro Manila had the most cases with 3,351, followed by Calabarzon with 1,984, Western Visayas with 1,512, Central Luzon with 1,165, and Central Visayas with 1,058.

The new infections brought the nationwide caseload to 4,023,798.

There were 3,940,073 recoveries and 64,458 fatalities among the total number of confirmed cases.

The DOH continues to urge the public to get vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19.

“Do not forget to practice physical distancing, frequent hand-washing, and ensuring good ventilation are our minimum public health standards that provide added layers of protection against the virus,” the DOH said.

House committees to hold hearings during break
