MANILA — Additional closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and safety signs have been installed along the North Luzon and Subic-Clark-Tarlac expressways as well as at the NLEX Connector to enhance traffic monitoring and management.
Recently, the tollway company installed 12 more CCTV cameras along the entire stretch of the expressways, bringing the total number of the operational road monitoring devices to 163.
The cameras are manned by traffic control specialists at the Traffic Control Center (TCR), which provides real-time traffic update in key areas.
The TCR houses the expressways’ central traffic management system to help manage traffic and allow assigned personnel to deploy patrol crews and response teams during emergencies.
