MANILA – Former President Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte allegedly obtained information that he may be arrested at any time in connection with the complaint filed against him at the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding the thousands of people killed in the bloody war on drugs.

According to his lawyer, Atty. Harry Roque, the former president called him in relation to the information he obtained about his possible arrest in Davao.

Hindi talaga ako nakatulog,” Roque said.

The former President’s legal counsel said that he asked questions and that the information seems to have a basis because there are rumors that Task Force Davao of the Armed Forces of the Philippines will be disbanded.

Atty. Roque said that the only people who can arrest the former President are the police and soldiers in the Philippines because the ICC does not have police.

Aside from the former President, the complaint to the ICC also includes the former head of the Philippine National Police, Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
