
MANILA – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet came to an agreement to further strengthen the rice trade between the Philippines and Cambodia.
According to the Presidential Communications Office, this was one of the highlights of the bilateral meeting between the two leaders on the sidelines of the 50th ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in Melbourne.
The president and Prime Minister Manet discussed the issue of double taxation and further improving the business process.
The two leaders also discussed the plan to expand flight connections to further improve accessibility to tourism destinations in the Philippines and Cambodia.
Also included in the discussions in the bilateral meeting is the strengthening of defense ties to address the security issues of the two countries.
