MANILA – The Senate may summon former President Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte when testimony or evidence emerges that he has a connection to the property or business of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).

Duterte’s name was once mentioned in the investigation of the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality in February when a witness said he saw the former president and his daughter Vice President Sara Duterte visit Glory Mountain by Quiboloy and exits with a bag of weapons.

“Hindi pa namin na-desisyonan na tawagin si Duterte para mag-resource person kahit pagkatapos ng testimonya ni alyas Rene tungkol doon sa mga sako ng iba’t ibang klaseng baril, nung siya at si VP ngayon ay dumalaw doon sa mountain ni Quiboloy,” Senator Risa Hontiveros said in a press conference this Monday.

“Inuna muna naming dinigin lahat ng mga victim survivors bilang front and center, heart and soul nitong investigation,” Hontiveros explained.

“Kung may lumabas pa na testimonya, halimbawa nga doon sa usapin ng money matters, business matters ni Quiboloy, na ka-kailanganing imbitahin din siya para magtestimonya, then gagawin po namin iyon,” she added.

The KJC recently announced that Duterte has been appointed as the administrator of Quiboloy’s properties.
