DOH records more than 1,300 new Covid-19 cases

MANILA — The Department of Health (DOH) on Sunday reported that more than 1,000 cases of Covid-19 has been logged in the country.

Based on the data from the DOH, another 1,326 new Covid-19 cases were detected.

These additional infections increased the total number of active cases in the country to 18,482.

Most of the cases in the last 14 days were recorded in the National Capital Region with 3,874.

It was followed by Calabarzon with 1,961 cases; Western Visayas with 1,293; Central Luzon with 1,069; and Central Visayas with 1,034.

Since the pandemic began two years ago, the cumulative tally of cases increased to 4,033,682.

Of the total confirmed cases, 3,950,606 were recoveries while 64,594 were classified as fatalities.

House committees to hold hearings during break
