The newest North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Harbor Link section—between the new Caloocan Interchange, C3 Road/5th Avenue, and the new Navotas Interchange— will be opened to motorists starting on Monday, the NLEX Corporation said.

The project is expected to benefit around 30,000 vehicles per day.

“This will be an alternative route between Quezon City and Manila. From the Mindanao Toll Plaza, motorists may now reach the Port Area in Manila in about 15 to 20 minutes,” Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said in a statement.

DPWH said they are still mulling possible toll rate adjustments. But for now, motorists can enjoy a toll-free drive in the area.

“Wala pang additional toll, pinag-uusapan pa. Kasama siya sa open system ng NLEX. Magkakaroon ng adjustment, pero minimal lang ang impact sa toll rates,” he explained.

[There is still no additional toll, that’s still being discussed. This is included in the open system of NLEX. There will be adjustments, but it will have minimal impact on the toll rates.]
