PH reports 6,846 new COVID-19 cases

According to the latest bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH), the Philippines recorded 6,846 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

The number of active cases is now at 59,897 or 5.4% of the 1,108,826 nationwide tally. The DOH added that 93.7% are experiencing mild symptoms, 2.2% are asymptomatic, 1.7% are severe patients, 1.3% are in critical condition, and 1.10% are experiencing moderate symptoms.

In the meantime, the death toll increased to 18,562 after 90 more patients died of the virus. This is a drop from the 204 deaths recorded on Sunday.

The number of COVID-19 survivors also jumped to 1,030,367 with 8,193 new recoveries recorded.
